The Planning Conversation begins with the trip as it stands. You may have a destination in mind, commitments already made or a sense of the experience you want. Each gives us a place to begin.

We consider what you want the trip to offer, the choices still open and how far you would like the planning to go. That understanding shapes the Recommended Planning Approach—and our explanation of why it fits.

The objective isn't to assemble good choices. It's to make good choices work together.

The planning develops from direction to detail. Blueprint establishes or validates the direction of the trip; Signature develops the selected direction in detail.

As the choices take shape, we consider what each contributes and what it changes elsewhere. Research, comparison and sequencing bring the parts into relation, with attention to the time and space the experiences you value need.

The plan should help you understand what to do next—and why it makes sense.

The plan brings the recommendations and their reasoning together. You can see why a choice fits, how it relates to the rest of the trip and where an alternative may suit your preference better.

Move from recommendation to action.

Depending on the engagement, that may include comparisons, estimated costs, reservation priorities, timing considerations, supplier information and other details specific to the trip.

Where it matters, we distinguish what has been verified, what is published, what is estimated and what should be confirmed before you act.

North & Aspen provides independent travel consultation and trip design. We research, analyze, compare and recommend; you make reservations and payments directly with the travel providers you choose.
